Mr. Butler has extensive experience in Probate matters. He can help you plan your Last Will and Testament, assist with Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Advanced Directives for Healthcare. He has litigated Estate and Guardian matters in Probate Court. If a family member is in need of a Guardian or Conservator Mr. Butler can guide you through that process as well.

Logan Butler is a certified mediator and a registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. He is certified in general civil mediations, family law mediations, and domestic violence mediations. The cases he typically resolves through mediation involve Probate Matters, business and other civil matters, and divorce, child custody, and other family law matters.

Mr. Butler has previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Piedmont Judicial Circuit (Barrow, Jackson and Banks Counties) and in the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit (Forsyth County). He has also worked for the Prosecuting Attorney’s Council of Georgia and served as an Assistant Solicitor for the municipal Court of the City of Cumming. As a former prosecutor, Mr. Butler knows the angles and arguments the State will make in their prosecution against you. He uses that knowledge to prepare the best defense to your criminal charges. Additionally, his years of litigating both criminal and civil cases gives him the insight necessary to guide you through any litigation you may encounter.

Mr. Butler graduated from Mars Hill College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He worked as a biologist helping industry, landowners and land developers navigate the variety of rules and regulations imposed on them by the state and federal governments. His work as a biologist inspired him to change careers and he enrolled in law school at Georgia State University’s College of Law. Mr. Butler was a member of the College of Law’s Moot Court and served on the Moot Court Board as Vice President of Appellate Advocacy. Mr. Butler graduated cum laude and has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2005. He is very active in his community and has served as President of the Lanier Forsyth Rotary Club, President of the Forsyth County Bar Association, he is on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Bald Ridge Boys Lodge, he is on the Board of Directors of the Forsyth County Chamber and serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Cumming First United Methodist Church.
